Russell County 911 will be upgrading their computers and systems thanks to a $25,000 grant received last week.

Russell County Judge Executive Gary Robertson and Emergency Management Director H.M. Bottom said the county received the grant funding from the Kentucky Department of Homeland Security to upgrade the computer-aided dispatch system.

A release from the county said the upgrades will provide Russell County 911 with the best available equipment at this time.

The Lake Cumberland Area Development District and other county staff assisted with the grant proposal.
