The Russell County Middle School Lakers Baseball team jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first inning and were able to easily put away Metcalfe County 12-0 in three innings.
Ayden McGowan picked up the win on the mound, pitching three innings, giving up one hit and striking out eight batters.
Mayes Gosser led the Lakers on offense, hitting a homerun and driving in two runs. McGowan, Jack Shearer, Carter Stapp, Mason Jasper, Jake Campbell, and Tanner Stringer each drove in a run.
