Columbia Police arrested a 19-year-old man Friday morning following an investigation into a reported violation of an emergency protective order.
Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a local restaurant at approximately 10:51 a.m. Central Time. Police made contact with the female victim, who was not injured during the incident.
During the investigation, officers located the suspect inside a vehicle on Conley Drive. Gage C. Bernard of Columbia was arrested without incident.
Bernard was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment, violation of a Kentucky emergency protective or domestic violence order, and possession of marijuana with an enhancement.
Officer Elliot Smith made the arrest with assistance from other Columbia Police officers and members of the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.
