Russell County wins big over Casey County (April 19)

The Russell County Lakers scored nine runs in the fourth inning to pick up a 14-1 victory over Casey County on Monday.

Evan Hammond picked up the win for the Lakers, giving up four hits and one run over five innings while striking out seven batters.

Nick Aaron led the way at the plate for the Lakers, driving in three runs. Camden Carpenter, Gavin Gossage, Maxon Gosser, Noah Hadley, and Issac Roy also drove in runs for the Lakers.

The win moved the Lakers to 9-3 on the season.

Lakers defeat Logan County (April 17)

Evan Hammond and Maxon Gosser each drove in two runs for the Lakers, while Nathan Lawson and Nick Aaron drove in one each to lead the Lakers to a 6-3 victory over 4th Region foe Logan County on Saturday.

Noah Hadley pitched 4 1/3 innings, giving up six hits and three runs while striking out five. Aiden Antle picked up the win, pitching 2/3 inning and striking out one. Nick Aaron earned the save, pitching two shutout innings, while giving up three hits and striking out one.

Russell County easily defeats Barren County (April 17)

The Lakers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning on the way to a 10-2 victory over Barren County on Saturday.

Cody Luttrell earned the win on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up seven hits but only two runs and striking out eight batters.

Noah Hadley drove in three runs for the Lakers, Luttrell drove in two, and Maxon Gosser, Evan Hammond, Nathan Lawson, and Issac Roy drove in one run each.
