Cody Luttrell pitched a two-hit shutout to give the Russell County Lakers a 10-0 win over district rival Metcalfe County on Tuesday.
Luttrell struck out nine batters over five innings to pick up the win on the mound.
CJ Vonfumetti, Nathan Lawson, and Nick Aaron drove in two runs each. Aiden Antle, Issac Roy, Gavin Gossage, and Evan Hammond drove in one run each.
Nathan Lawson hit a two-run homerun in the second inning, his fourth of the season.
JV wins 3-0 over Metcalfe
Trace Stringer pitched three no-hit innings as the Russell County Lakers JV team picked up a 3-0 win over Metcalfe County.
Stringer struck out seven of the nine batters he faced.
Lincoln Helm and Logan Lawless drove in runs for the Lakers.
The JV team is now 12-2 on the season.
