Laker Baseball defeats Daviess County over the weekend

Nathan Lawson allowed just one run over seven innings on the mound for Russell County as the Lakers defeated Daviess County on Saturday to move to 12-3 on the season.

Lawson gave up six hits and struck out eight batters to pick up the win for the Lakers by a final score of 2-1.

Noah Hadley and CJ Vonfumetti drove in one run each for the Lakers.

The Lakers will be in action on the road tonight as they travel to Adair County to take on the Adair County Indians, who also enter with a record of 12-3.
