KSP investigating possible abuse at Foothills Academy in Albany

Kentucky State Police Post 15 is conducting an investigation into possible abuse at Foothills Academy in Albany.

Post 15 was contacted by Clinton County Hospital on Monday regarding a juvenile that had been brought in with injuries sustained at the academy.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of three individuals.

  • Gabriel Martin, 18, of Albany, charged with two counts of assault fourth degree (child abuse)
  • Cecil Nevels, 24, of Monticello, charged with two counts of assault fourth degree and one count of assault second degree
  • Chris Dunagan, 20, of Monticello, charged with one count of assault fourth degree.

Nevels and Dunagan were lodged in the Wayne County Detention center; Martin was lodged in the Clinton County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
