Jamestown man arrested for fleeing police

A Jamestown man was arrested on multiple charges, including fleeing police, on Wednesday.

Charles Elkins, age 61 of Jamestown, was arrested by Trooper Harper from Kentucky State Police Post 15.

Elkins is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (fourth or more offense), fleeing or evading police first degree, resisting arrest, failure to maintain insurance, failure to wear a seat belt, reckless driving, and other traffic violations.

Elkins was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
