Glenn Ballenger recognized by City of Russell Springs

The City of Russell Springs participated in a retirement ceremony held for Glen Ballenger on Friday.

Ballenger was recognized by the city for “distinguished 50+ years as a business leader in the community” and Mayor Eddie Thomas declared April 23 “Glenn Ballenger Day” in Russell Springs.

Ballenger began his career with Ballenger-Sinclair Gas Station in Russell Springs in 1968, and moved locations to the corner of Highway 127 and Maple Street in 1980, changing the name to Ballenger Tire.

A retirement ceremony with family and friends was held in honor of Ballenger on Friday.
