Four juveniles involved in wreck in Fonthill area

Four juveniles were involved in an automobile wreck Wednesday afternoon in the Fonthill community.

One of the juveniles was flown from the scene to the University of Tennessee Hospital, and three others were transported to Russell County Hospital from the scene. One was transported by private vehicle.

Deputy Corey Meyer told WJRS News that the four juveniles ranged in age from 13 to 17 years old. Due to the age of those involved, names were not released, but Meyer told WJRS News that three females and one male were involved.

The accident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. when the 1999 Mercury SUV they were operating came over the hill and overturned, striking a pole.

Two of the occupants were ejected from the vehicle due to the collision.

Deputy Meyer is the investigating officer. He was assisted on scene by Russell County EMS, the Eli Volunteer Fire Department, Russell Springs Police Department, and Kentucky State Police.
