The 2021 season came to an end last night for the Lakers boys as they lost to Metcalfe County in overtime in the opening round of the 16th District tournament, 58 to 51. It was the third straight year the Lakers have been eliminated from post season play in the first round of the district tournament
The Lakers got a solid effort from senior forward Devontae Grayson who finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Scott Hamm had 14 points and 8 rebounds, and Owen Loy had 11.
The Lakers finish the season at 13-14 and will lose three seniors to graduation in Hamm, Grayson, and Clay Anderson.
