Russell County Schools begin its expanded return to the classroom today.
Any student who wishes to return in-person can begin doing so today, as classes will be in-person today and tomorrow.
Next week, school will begin four days in-person which will go Monday-Thursday with Friday being an all-virtual day.
Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford said the all-virtual day on Friday will allow teachers and school staff extra time to connect with students who remain on an all-virtual track and bring in students who are struggling in certain areas, while also performing meal deliveries.
