Desmond Lee McGowan, age 79, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, March 23 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on Wednesday, July 09 1941, in Russel Springs, Kentucky.
He was the son of:
Mother – Susie Tucker McGowan, who has preceded him in death
Father – Elvis Lee McGowan, who has preceded him in death
Survivors also include:
Wife – Linda McGowan of Russell Springs, KY
1 Son:
- Desmond Lee McGowan, spouse Kelly, of Hamilton OH.
2 Brothers:
- Frankie McGowan, of Russell Springs KY
- Freddie McGowan, of Russell Springs KY
He is survived 1 grandson, Devin McGowan and three step grand-children, Michael and Mel Hargis, Katie and Ki Hargis and a great grand-daughter, Ava Hargis. He was a member and trustee of Parksridge Church of God, a retired maintenance employee of Ford Motor Company and a Veteran of the United States Army. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene McGowan and a sister Jackie Bailey. Military honors were performed by the Russell County Honor Guard
Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, March 27 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
Visitation will be 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 27 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.
