Russell County Hospital will not be offering its annual Community Health Screening this year, according to a release from the hospital.
The hospital plans to resume the service in 2021.
“Russell County Hospital has taken great pride in offering a service to our community for over 20 years that has grown to 2,000 people obtaining annual lab work over a two-week period,” the release stated. “We have attempted for weeks to come up with a way to safely offer this service to the community during this COVID-19 pandemic and don’t feel we can do so at this time.”
The hospital encourages citizens to continue practicing frequent hand washing, social distancing, and wearing a mask when in public.
