**UPDATE** 911 Call Thought to be False Has been Resolved

Update to a story reported earlier on WJRS NEWS.

State Fish and Wildlife officers have confirmed to WJRS NEWS this morning that there will be no further investigation into what was initially thought to be a false report made to emergency officials, claiming a person had drowned or was missing on Lake Cumberland.

After being contacted by WJRS NEWS about the matter, Kevin Kelly, spokesperson for the Department of Fish and Wildlife, issued the following statement earlier this morning:

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is not investigating this as a possible false report. Conservation officers were able to re-establish contact with the original caller. Based on that conversation, officers determined this was a situation in which a person became separated from their group but later was reunited with the group. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife considers the matter closed at this time.
