Primary Election is Two Weeks Away

Kentucky voters will select their party nominees for various offices in two weeks, but the method in doing so this year will be much different.

On Election Day, June 23rd, voters in Russell County will only be permitted to vote in person at the courthouse.

However, between today and Election Day, voters can vote in person at the courthouse but only by appointment.  Absentee ballots can be mailed to individual voters as well.

WJRS will look at all these issues this Friday on our new program, All Things Russell, with co-hosts Jeff Hoover and Tony Kerr. Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams will be in our studios on Friday to discuss these issues.

County Clerk Sue Brockman has also been invited to attend.

That program will air this Friday morning at 8 o’clock.
