A Russell County man was arrested last night on
drug related charges after law enforcement officials went to his residence with
arrest warrants on other matters..
According to Sheriff Derek Polston, officers went to 564 J.
Tucker Road in the Eli community of Russell County with three separate arrest
warrants for William Curt Wilson.
Sheriff Polston says Wilson, age 54, gave consent to the
officers to search the residence. The result of the search was the seizure of
approximately 3 grams of suspected Methamphetamine.
State Trooper Billy Begley charged Wilson with Trafficking in
a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Wilson was also served with three separate arrest warrants by
Deputy Corey Meyer. Additional Charges will be forthcoming when the case is
presented to a Russell County
Grand Jury.
