KY Secretary of State Secures Funding for Election Costs

Michael Adams, Kentucky’s Secretary of State has secured Kentucky’s access to around $6 million in federal stimulus funds to relieve the increased election costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adams called on Governor Andy Beshear to also sign House Bill 351, which includes emergency legislation aimed at providing the State Board of Elections to adjust election procedures during a declared State of Emergency.

Secretary Adams thanked the President and Congress for providing Kentucky with the funding to help plan for a successful 2020 election.
