Restaurants and Bars to Close Dining Services Per Governor Beshear

During a news conference this morning, Governor Andy Beshear reported the first Coronavirus death in Kentucky. The victim was a 66-year-old male from Bourbon County who had many other factors that led to the outcome.

Beshear also issued an order for all restaurants and bars in the state to close in person traffic. Drive-thru, takeout, and delivery services can continue. Beshear did say restaurants cannot allow large lines or crowds when dealing with carryout orders. Locally, Marty Kaszuk, the Owner of the Eli Country Store will be speaking to us right after the 12PM local news today about the order issued by the Governor and what his restaurant is doing.

The City of Russell Springs, at the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Rural Water Association (NRWA), has announced that the lobby of City Hall will be closed until further notice. City officials request that resident please use the drive-thru, pay over the phone, or utilize the online payment portal at www.russellsprings.net.
