The Lake Cumberland Current, Russell County’s newest newspaper, publishes its first edition today and all Russell County homes should receive a complimentary copy in their mail or post office box.
Billed as a new media source hoping to have a strong online presence as well as a printed publication, the Current hopes to be positive and proactive and feature the many interesting individuals and events in the community, according to Editor Wade Daffron.
Daffron is joined on staff by Shevawn Foley and Renee Daffron, who have nearly 40 years of combined newspaper experience.
