Another Dry Day Today

Good Tuesday, everyone. Our day is starting off with mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures with that sticky feel remaining in the air. Let’s check out the current temperatures out there this morning…

Everyone here in the Lake Cumberland Area is already in the low 80’s, we note Glasgow coming in at 83 this morning. Notice how the air feels sticky? Well that is due to high dew points. Here’s a look at the current dew points for this morning…

When you start seeing those dew points creep into the mid 60’s, that’s when it begins to feel uncomfortable, and you can see most of us are in the low 70’s which is making the air feel really sticky and juicy outside so make sure to drink plenty of liquids and take it easy if you are going to be outside doing any kind of work today.

There’s a view of the current visible satellite. We have a few thin clouds but nothing to major. Looks like our Tuesday is going to be a pretty one so get out and enjoy.

Wednesday

Shower and thunderstorm chances will make their way back into the forecast for Wednesday. Our temperatures will remain on the warm side, here’s the forecasted temps for tomorrow…

Most folks will be in the low 90’s, but look back into Western Kentucky as it looks like some areas will be in the mid  90’s. It is certainly going to be a warm one on Wednesday, and I also mentioned that chance of showers and thunderstorms coming back into the area. Here’s the high-resolution NAM for tomorrow…

These will be the spotty kind of showers and thunderstorms, but nonetheless if you get under one of these, expect brief gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rainfall. Make sure to check back for updates or changes in the forecast.
