Pop Up Showers and Storms Possible Today

Good Sunday, everyone. We are in store for another warm and muggy day with temperatures in the upper 80’s to near 90’s in some places. Those afternoon scattered showers and storms will again be popping up in random places today. Here’s the latest hour by hour radar…

Keep in mind like we always say, the radar will not look exactly like this. These storms will pop in random places at random times throughout the afternoon hours, and then die off as we head into the nighttime as we lose the daytime heating. If you get under one of these storms, expect thunder and lightning, heavy rainfall, and brief gusty winds.

We note the SPC has our area as well as much of the Commonwealth in that dark green level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe weather today. This is something we will keep an eye on today.

As always check back for updates and changes in the forecast.
