Karen Lynn Tarter, of Windsor, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, at her residence. She was 75 years of age.
Born October 16, 1950, in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Vertis and Ruby Childress Tarter. Karen enjoyed reading, especially the newspapers, but especially loved to pass the time on her swing in the front yard. She was a longtime member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her cousins, Kathy (and Paul) Davenport and Alan Childress, Brandon (and Beth) Davenport, Gabby, and Baylor.
Services are 12:00 PM EST Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Cedar Springs Baptist Church with Brother Jason Shanks officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until time of services.
Brent Clements, Brandon Davenport, Junior Foster, Ben Foster, Alan Patterson, and Steve Luttrell will serve as pallbearers.
