On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the Russell County Laker Marching Band took the field at the 49th Annual Mark Twain Pre-Season Marching Band Exhibition, marking the beginning of the 2026 marching season.
This year’s production is titled “When Life Gives You Lemons.” The performance gave band members the opportunity to showcase the countless hours of practice, dedication, and teamwork they have put into preparing for the season.
The Mark Twain Exhibition has been a longstanding tradition for marching bands in our area, and we are proud to have Russell County represented as the event celebrates its 49th year.
