The Russell County Grand Jury met Tuesday and returned indictments against 30 individuals on charges ranging from drug trafficking and possession to burglary, assault and organized crime. According to circuit court records:
David Carl Kasper and Marissa Sackrider, both of London, were indicted on first-degree criminal mischief charges.
Brian T. Stephens of Russell Springs was indicted on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, public intoxication, first-degree criminal trespassing and being a persistent felony offender.
James Curtis Cox of Russell Springs was charged with theft by unlawful taking involving $10,000 or more, while Jacob Stephens of Columbia was indicted for DUI and first-degree wanton endangerment.
Stacy Carta of Jamestown faces charges of first-degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of a legend drug.
Christopher Brown of Bardstown was indicted for first-degree bail jumping.
Melvin Beard of Jamestown was charged with two counts each of second-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment, along with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Brandon J. Hull of Campbellsville was indicted for first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and being a persistent felony offender.
David D. Jones of Liberty faces cocaine possession, drug paraphernalia, driving on a DUI-suspended license and traffic charges.
Isabella Yarbrough of Buffalo and William Nau of Pekin, Illinois, were charged with methamphetamine and drug-paraphernalia possession, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and failure to dim headlights.
Thomas Davis of Hodgenville, Andrea Helm of Russell Springs, Susan Marlow of Russell Springs, Heidi Flanagan of Russell Springs, Crystal Gibson of Nancy, Kathleen Hahn of Columbia, Jo Ann Torres of Russell Springs, John Stargel of Russell Springs and Aaron Ashbrook of Russell Springs were indicted on various drug and traffic-related charges.
David Reeder of Jamestown was charged with first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine and disregarding a stop sign.
Edlas Ray Watson Jr, David R. Miller and Connie M. Miller, all of Columbia, were indicted on charges that include first-degree trafficking in more than 12 grams of methamphetamine, engaging in organized crime and possession of marijuana. Watson and David Miller were also charged as persistent felony offenders.
Christopher Fortenberry and Melandai Lyn Smith of Russell Springs were charged with first-degree trafficking in more than 10 grams of methamphetamine, trafficking in marijuana and illegal possession of a legend drug. Both were also charged as persistent felony offenders.
Julie Ritchie, Susan Walls and Billy Sheene, all of Liberty, were indicted for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
