An Albany man was arrested Thursday evening following a reported domestic violence incident.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence on George Sells Road shortly before 7 p.m. The victim was transported by ambulance for medical treatment, while the alleged perpetrator reportedly fled the scene on foot.
About an hour later, 36-year-old Michael Conyers turned himself in at the Clinton County Courthouse.
Conyers was charged with strangulation, felony assault, fleeing or evading police on foot, disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication. He was lodged in the Clinton County Detention Center.
