Several people were taken to the hospital following a reported gas leak Sunday morning at Dishman’s Personal Care Home in Monticello. 
Firefighters responded at approximately 11:08 a.m. and evacuated the building while crews checked for leaks and other potential hazards. Wayne County EMS transported multiple patients experiencing issues believed to be related to the exposure, according to officials.
Firefighters used fans to ventilate the building and continued monitoring gas levels throughout the facility. Administrators were advised to contact their gas provider to inspect the tanks and lines both inside and outside the building.
