Two people died as the result of a two-vehicle collision near the Breeding community of Adair County on Friday.
Kentucky State Police say it happened at around 4:30 Friday afternoon. They say 56-year-old Wayne Werth was operating a 2018 Cadillac XT5 southbound on Highway 61 near Blue Ridge Circle when he crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Jeep Liberty traveling north on 61.
Werth, along with the 16-year-old driver of the Jeep Liberty, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner’s Office.
Kentucky State Police Post 15 is leading the investigation.
