A Columbia man was airlifted following a motorcycle vs vehicle collision on Highway 1592 in Adair County on Monday.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office said 41-year-old Bruce Thompson was operating a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle on the wrong side of the road when he struck a Chevy Tahoe head-on. The Tahoe was operated by 36-year-old Dustin Alley of Columbia.
Thompson was transported by Air Evac to a Lexington hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the collision. Alley and two juvenile passengers in the vehicle were uninjured.
The sheriff’s office said traffic and criminal charges against Thompson are pending.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation.
