Jamestown Police investigating stolen truck found near Jamestown Elementary School this morning

The Jamestown Police is investigating after a truck that was reported stolen was found near Jamestown Elementary School this morning.

Jamestown Police Chief Jeff Kerns said the police department responded after a call came in of an abandoned truck parked near the playground at Jamestown Elementary a little before 6:00 this morning.

Kerns told WJRS News the truck was a Ford F150 that had been reported stolen out of Somerset. Kerns said the police department is actively investigating the case, and he’s been in contact with the owner of the vehicle, as well as law enforcement officials in Somerset.
