Area agencies receive VOCA funds

Multiple area agencies are set to receive funds through the Victims of Crime Act grant program.

This program is the primary federal grant program supporting direct assistance services to victims of child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as many other situations.

Lake Cumberland Children’s Advocacy Center will receive a little over $94,000 through the program.

CASA of Southern Kentucky will receive a little over $40,000.

Bethany House Abuse Shelter will receive around $122,000.

A total of $16 million in federal grant funding was awarded to 88 agencies and organizations across the commonwealth.
