Jessica Gossage has been selected as the new Director of Pupil Personnel for Russell County Schools.
Gossage is a graduate of Russell County Schools and brings over 15 years of experience in education, serving as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, and school counselor.
In a statement from Russell County Schools, Superintendent Michael Ford said:
Throughout her career, she has supported students and families across all grade levels, with a strong focus on attendance, student well-being, and removing barriers to learning.
She is deeply committed to supporting all students, particularly those facing challenges, and is known for her ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners.
Mrs. Gossage’s connection to Russell County Schools is both personal and professional, and she is dedicated to ensuring every student feels supported, valued, and prepared for success.
Gossage will officially assume the position on July 1. Cindy Damron, who has served as the Director of Pupil Personnel since 2015, is retiring at the end of the fiscal year.
