Casey County business sustains heavy damage in fire

A Casey County business sustained a heavy amount of damage during a fire Sunday night.

The Liberty Fire Department said units were called out a little after 8:30 p.m. local time to Hometown Auto Parts on Campbellsville Street. When units arrived on scene, the building was fully involved with fire at both ends of the structure.

Officials say shortly after arriving, the roof and front of the structure collapsed.

Fire crews were on scene for nearly five hours battling the blaze in below freezing temperatures.

Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
