Russell Springs man flown to UK hospital after accident on Lakeway Drive

A Russell Springs man was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital after an accident on Lakeway Drive Saturday morning.

Russell Springs Police say it happened a little after 11 a.m. Saturday. They say 72-year-old Arlie Foley of Russell Springs pulled into a parking lot off Lakeway Drive and exited his vehicle, but accidentally left the vehicle in reverse.

Police say Foley was knocked down by the vehicle and it ran over his leg. The vehicle continued rolling down Lakeway Drive, striking a mailbox and collided with a couple vehicles at Gosser Auto Sales.

Foley was treated on scene by Russell County EMS and transported to Russell County Hospital. He was later flown to the University of Kentucky to be treated for his injuries.
