A Russell Springs man was arrested on charges including fleeing or evading police and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Russell Springs Police say officers spotted a vehicle traveling well over the speed limit on Lakeway Drive at around 1 a.m. Friday.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver allegedly fled the scene, later attempting to flee on foot, according to police.
The driver, identified as 38-year-old Sebastian Lopez, was apprehended and faces several charges. Those include fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, fleeing or evading police on foot, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, driving without a license, and other charges.
He was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center at around 1:30 Friday morning.
