The City of Jamestown will be purchasing the old Hardee’s building at 407 North Main Street.
The Jamestown City Council approved the purchase at a special-called council meeting earlier this week.
The building has sat vacant for several years, but sits on a great location within the city, and city officials say they see a great economic opportunity for the property.
Jamestown Mayor Regena Hinton told WJRS News she wants to see a business occupy that property after it has been vacant for so many years. Hinton said the city is working with a potential developer for the property, but nothing is set in stone yet.
