The need for emergency medical services doesn’t stop in the midst of a winter storm.
Russell County EMS Director Charles Shepherd said the ambulance service is as prepared as possible to continue to make runs and provide services even in the inclement weather.
Shepherd said strong community partnerships are essential year-round but are even more important in times like these.
Shepherd encouraged people to be safe during the winter storm and avoid being on the roads unless necessary due to the increased risk of accidents with slick road conditions.
