Local grocery stores are staying busy with the winter storm predicted to impact the area this weekend.
WJRS News spoke with Bryson Hicks, manager at Priceless Foods in Russell Springs. He said the store has remained busy all week in anticipation of the incoming weather. Hicks said milk and bread are among the most common items people purchase before a winter storm, but he sees a lot of other popular items as well.
Hicks said the store has to make adjustments with this rush of business, like extra staffing and ordering more of popular items. While ordering during this time can get hectic, he said it’s a team effort from everyone involved.
Hicks encourages people to stay safe with the incoming weather and make preparations ahead of time for their groceries.
