City of Jamestown working to address water issue

The City of Jamestown is working to address a water issue involving a leak with one of its barges.

At last Thursday’s city council meeting, the council approved a motion to contact a company based out of Cincinnati to come in to examine the problem and make needed repairs.

Mayor Regena Hinton said the city has been able to make some needed repairs to keep the water system functioning, but the city doesn’t want to waste any time in addressing the issue long-term.

The motion to contact the company about the water issue was made by council member Barry Coffey and seconded by council member Tony Wright. It was approved unanimously by the council.
