Russell Springs Police arrested a Shepherdsville man on multiple charges yesterday afternoon following a traffic stop.
Russell Springs Police say Officer Mason Miniard performed a traffic stop on a vehicle swerving in the roadway. Officer Kendall Catron assisted at the scene, and deployed K9 Joli. After the K-9 alerted, a search was conducted, and police found drugs inside the vehicle.
31-year-old Shaun Mahoney was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance first degree – drug unspecified, illegal possession of a legend drug, possession of a controlled substance second degree – anabolic steroid, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and other traffic violations.
Mahoney was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center a little after 4:00 yesterday afternoon.
