A juvenile was arrested following a motorcycle pursuit in Russell Springs over the weekend.
Russell Springs Police say the pursuit began in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Saturday night a little after 9:00.
Officer Chris Tweedy attempted to perform a traffic stop on a motorcycle driving recklessly in the parking lot. The motorcycle drove away from the attempted traffic stop onto Bernard Lane and jumped across 127, nearly colliding with a vehicle according to a police citation.
The pursuit continued onto Bernard Ridge and West Wilson Road where the driver eventually crashed near a creek. The operator of the motorcycle fled into the woods, where he was apprehended just before 10:30 p.m.
The juvenile was transported to Russell County Hospital to be evaluated. He was then transported to the Adair Youth Detention Center.
The juvenile faces multiple charges including wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police. Alcohol is suspected to be involved in the incident.
