She signed with Kentucky in November after verbally committing almost a year earlier
“I think she will be a dynamic player for us,” said the Kentucky coach. “She plays like (former UK All-American) Georgia (Amoore). “She will fit into our system. Her father (Chad) played linebacker in the NFL and she plays point guard like that. She will run through a wall. She’s not scared of anything. We also want the best shooters, and she is one of those great shooters.”
The 5-foot-8 Greenway has helped Providence Academy win four straight Minnesota high school state championships. She went over 1,000 rebounds in her second game this season to become the first Minnesota high school player to have more than 1,000 points, rebounds and assists.
She has scored over 4,500 points and is on pace to become the state’s all-time leading scorer when her career ends.
Her team took a 44-game win streak into this season before losing its second game but even then Greenway extended her streak of games with 20 or more points to 35.
“She’s one of the best, if not the best, point guards in this recruiting class,” Brooks said. “She shoots the ball with extreme precision and shoots the lights out from extremely deep. She’s tough as nails. She’s not afraid of contact and is a fierce competitor.”
Greenway is an elite athlete.
— In her junior basketball season she was Minnesota MaxPreps Player of the Year and Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year. She averaged 32.8 points, 7.5 rebounds per game, 8.7 assists and 4.9 steals per game. She finished the year with 1,050 points, 232 rebounds, 280 assists and 160 steals along with another state title during a 32-0 season.
— Greenway also played for North Tartan EYBL in the 2024 summer play and for Team USA last summer when it won a gold medal at the FIBA U19 World Cup in Czech Republic. In six games there, she averaged 3.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in less than 15 minutes per game.
— In soccer, she is a four-time all-state selection who set the all-time Minnesota career goals record (218) and the all-time Minnesota single-season goals record (62) last season. She was named Minnesota Miss Soccer this year after helping the Lions to back-to-back state titles in 2024 and 2025.
— She won the 300-meter hurdles at the Minnesota Class AA State Track Meet for the second straight time as a junior with a time of 42.57 seconds — the best time of any female runner in the state to set a new Class AA record. She also was on the winning 4×400 relay team — along with her younger sister Beckett — for the second straight year and ran the anchor leg as the team set a Class AA record with a time of 3:54. Greenway was also sixth in the state long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 4 inches.
“She is really good in all her sports,” Brooks said. “She does not just play other sports. She dominates them.”
Brooks is all for high school players playing multiple sports.
“That is what you want from youth today. I never discourage it. I encourage it,” the Kentucky coach said. “I think some young kids start specializing in one sport early. You need the camaraderie of playing different sports. You need teaching from different sports. It will benefit you later
“I watched her play soccer. She is really good. I think she had like a million goals. She is good. And then she runs track. She is a kid who just can’t sit down. She has got to be doing something with that energy and high motor. She is tough and we are going to throw her right into the fire when she gets here.”
