Russell County Hospital is ready for work to begin on its expansion project.
Hospital CEO Scott Thompson told WJRS News although there have been multiple delays, all the boxes have been checked for work to begin on the project, which will nearly double the size of the current hospital.
The new expansion will nearly double the size of the hospital with a new emergency room, new equipment, a new registration space, more office space, and more parking, among many other improvements.
