A woman in Wayne County was arrested and is facing child abuse charges after she allegedly abused her three children.
25-year-old Kaylee Judd was arrested last week and charged with criminal abuse first degree of a child 12 years of age or younger as well as endangering the welfare of a minor.
Deputies were called to the Wayne County Hospital last week regarding a possible child abuse case after two children, ages 4 and 2, were treated in the emergency room for multiple injuries. An investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Child Protective Services resulted in Judd’s arrest.
This week, more charges are being placed against Judd. Authorities in Wayne County say the investigation revealed that a six-month-old child had received physical injuries from abuse as well. Judd now faces an additional charge of criminal abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor.
She remains lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
