Two men were arrested on drug charges after sheriff’s deputies went to serve an emergency protective order at a residence on McQueary Ridge Road last night.
Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston said Deputy Stone Bolin went to the residence on McQueary Ridge Road off Highway 76 near the Salem community. As Bolin was approaching the residence, he noticed a person in possession of what appeared to be marijuana.
Bolin served the EPO and obtained a search warrant for the property.
A search of the property resulted in deputies seizing marijuana, firearms, large amounts of cash, and drug paraphernalia.
Two men were arrested as a result.
50-year-old Stanley Wayne Brinley was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
21-year-old Donald Wayne Brinley was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both men were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. Other members of the sheriff’s office and Kentucky State Police assisted at the scene. The case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
