Candidates planning to run for office next year can begin officially filing for office today.

In the May primary, offices such as Russell County Judge-Executive, Sheriff, County Clerk, Coroner, Jailer, County Attorney, PVA, Magistrates, Constables, and others will be on the ballot.

Candidates planning to run for office in the May primary will have until January 9 to file their paperwork.
