A Somerset man has been arrested following an early morning shooting that left another Somerset man dead.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was called out at around 12:30 this morning to a shooting incident on Dogwood Lane in Somerset. The caller said her husband, identified as 39-year-old Adam Roark, had been shot by a man identified as 40-year-old James Gleason.
When deputies arrived, they found Roark had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving attempts, Roark was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski Coroner’s Office.
Gleason was located outside his home. After questioning by authorities, he was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
