Local gas prices remain just a little below state average.
According to AAA, the average price of gas in Russell County is $2.90, just one-cent lower than the state average at $2.91.
Pulaski County has the highest prices in the area at $2.95. Casey County has the lowest at $2.87.
Local prices are about 9 cents cheaper than this same time last year.
