The westbound lanes of Fishing Creek Bridge on the Cumberland Parkway are closed until further notice.
Officials with the District 8 Transportation Cabinet Office said an inspection on the bridge yesterday revealed damage to the bridge deck, leading to the closure.
The eastbound lanes remain open at this time.
Signs and barricades are being posted to notify drivers of the bridge’s closure.
Motorists can use Highway 80 as a detour route while the bridge is closed.
