Child injured in Pulaski County after reportedly being struck by wheel from fair ride

A child in Pulaski County was injured after reportedly being struck by a wheel that came off of a carnival ride at the Pulaski County Fair.

Reports are that a wheel came off of one of the rides and struck the child in the head. The child was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of injuries. The injuries are not life-threatening, according to reports.

An investigation into how the child was struck remains ongoing.
